Combat Boots!

Hi hi hi! So for someone who loves shoes, I have just realized I do not write about shoes at all! how sad! So todays topic is all about Combat boots-- for guys and girls!  So these boots are a little edgy and from talking to my friends and what not-- not everyone feels comfy wearing them.  I guess it really depends on your personality and your own style, everyone has their own style and some things are just not meant for everyone!

I personally do like them, but I guess you can say i am a bit 'edgy' and 'funky' when it comes to the way I dress, so i wear them, but let meeh tell you it took meeh some time to really get use to them! And as for the guys-- Not many guys can wear them.. when I showed em to my own brother he laughed at meeh and said he'd never wear them! sooo they can really go both ways-- but if your looking to change your style or just try something different-- Combat boots are def something different! Try em out :)

So many different ways to wear them!

Steve Madden.

An easy way to add edgyness to your ensemble! :D

So for guys, it is a little bit more risky, but if you can do it go for it! =)

If Joe Jonas can do it, so can you?! haha

Enjoy!

I know I am not posting much right now but it is because of school and finals! im still trying to write as much as I can tho!

Nail Colors!

Hiii Readers!

Happpy Monday!

Nails nails nails!--So within the last year nail polish and nail colors has become a statement-making finish to one's ensemble! It is almost as important as one's shoes! I loveeee nail polish and if any of you know meeh on a personal level, you know I ALWAYS have nail polish on unless something is wrong with meeh lol. soo for the Fall/ Winter season we see darker and duskier colors-- so put away those bright summer colors and take out the deep, rich colors! Here are a few suggestions:

Greens! Darker, duskier greens are very in!

Rimmel: Rags to Riches
I like this b/c Glitter is so in as well!
Blues!-- You cannot go wrong with the bold blues this season!

Some of the colors include; China Glaze-Up all Night.
OPI- Get This Blue
Essie- Aruba Blue

You can still wear pinks and purples-- bit switch to duskier colors!

ESSIE- Smokin' Hot

Revlon; Purple Petal

China Glaze: CG in the City

Say Bye bye to the corals and start going after the deeper and wine colored shades.

Essie- Carry On

China Glaze- Brownstone
Browns and Metals and Skin colors!

OPI- Get in the Expresso
A Perfect Brown.

Essie; Power Clutch
TOP SHOP; Sandy Lane-- I love the bottle bc of the Polka Dots hehe

And you can never go wrong with glitters for this season! They are just perfect.  You can even color block with glitters or just color block with normal colors! Nail polish has become a statement so enjoy!!

Also since we see the 70's inspired fashion right now-- you can look into 70's inspired nails as well.. They are long round nails! super cute if you like long nails.

Its called MAKE-UP not CAKE-UP.

Its called MAKE-UP not CAKE-UP.
The title for this post should pretty much say it all. Recently, I have noticed a lot of ladies caking up their faces! Regardless of the time and season of the year caking up your face is a huge NO NO! Hmm unless your in some dramatic movie and need to look like a ghost, this look shouldn’t be of your preference. Since the colder seasons have finally arrived it’s time give your bronzers, dewey foundation, and peachy/coral lip colors a rest!  Here’s a list of a few products that have made the cut to sit in my makeup bag this season.

-Mascara - L’Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black.   One word. FAVORITE. I have tried plenty of mascaras. From high end, low end, department store, drug stores and international too, but I will always go back to this one! I have a hard time keeping my stubby lashes curled due to mascara formulas always weighing them down. This mascara holds curl, adds volume, length, its the perfect opaque black and conveniently available at at any drug store! SCORE! What more can I ask for?

-Eyes- For eyeshadows I normally reach for brown, taupe, and grayish shades. These  low maintenance colors   are easy to apply with a blending brush. No need to keep adding color on top of color, just blend one color and your good to go! Of course we can’t forget eyeliner. I love Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner. I have been using it for years now. Its easy to smudge and is long lasting.
Mac colors I’m loving right now;
TWINKS
ESPRESSO

ALL THAT GLITTERS

URBAN DECAY 24/7 EYELINER, Color; Zero
KNIGHT DIVINE

-Cheeks- Blush as if your truly blushing.  Don’t go overboard with the crazy shimmery blushes. Keep the shimmer minimal. Use matte or sheen finished blushes.  Unless if your blush is the focal point of the look you are going for, be sure to use just a tad bit. Paaleaze don’t make yourself look like a tomato! A couple of swirls and taps on the apples of your cheeks is all you need!                                                                                                                                                            Blushes in totally diggin’ right now;

MAC; Well Dressed

NARS; Sex Appeal
MAC-Peaches

Lips- Say goodbye to those coral lip colors! (well for now, that is!) Opt for more nude shades. Keep in mind that lip colors look different on everybody.  You need to know what tones look good on you. Some nude colors can look chalky and silvery. My advice, stay away from them! If you don’t already then step out of your element and try red lipstick, if you dare! Red lips are amazing all year round, but during fall and winter they are just simply even MORE amazing!
On my lips nowadays;

REVLON; Nude Attitude
ESTEE LAUDER ; Nude

MAC; MAC Red

Face- Okay so when I said make-up NOT cake-up, this is pretty much where I’ve seen ladies go wrong! Don’t treat your face as if your throwing frosting on a cake! A little goes a long way ladies. If your more a foundation kinda gal, then use a matte finished formula for this season. Its not summer anymore, you don’t need that beachy/dewey look. I personally just use powder this time around. A little powder on my t-zone area and cheeks and I’m out the door! Sure, there are days where my skin isn’t at its best behavior but I just add more powder. The key is to build up coverage. Start with a little and only use coverage where you need it.
My go to powder;

MAC; SkinFinish

Hopefully, this was helpful to you ladies.  Remember, these are just products that I’m loving right now. They might work for you, they might not.  Have fun with your make-up! Just make sure it isn’t too much!

H&M Versace line.

Hello readers! So as I'm taking a marketing course this semester, one thing we have learned is that in down economies high end brands start to make cheaper lines to increase sales.  Well we have seen a lot of this within this year, with Missoni for target and Harajuku for target and now Versace for H&M!? Will this really benefit these high end brands?? So many of them are doing it, so I am sure it is working! Well anywayss have you guys seen the Versace line?-- i am not too fond of it.  I probably like 2 things lol

If any of you guys havent seen it I am going to post some pics.

Versace is all about different prints and most of us already know that-- so they stuck with the funky prints for the H&M line as well..

Okay So as you can see-- still have the funky prints! I could not find the prices for these, but Im going to guess no less than $100.  I know its a 'Versace' line but are these dresses totally worth it?!? hmmm..

Okay So this is a leather jacket-- which is something I actually like-- going for about $300-- but at least you have the Versace logo going across the bottom.  This is probably one of the pieces I personally like.
And this dress is another piece that is kind of cute! I guess im not into the patterns they have for this line?? I like some of the patterns but not all.

Anyways, so high-end designers do this so during a downturn economy-- but is it really SO affordable?! Of course it is more affordable than their normal stuff-- but can everyone afford thh 'cheaper' lines? From all the marketing research I have done-- it is profitable to do this kind of stuff, but I just wonder... Anyways thts my business perspective on it-- but on a fashionable note-- the cheaper lines are great for all the fashionistas out there!

Another reason to love fall... the TV shows!!

Happpy Monday Everyone! I hope your all doing well. Sooo another thing about Fall that I love are all the TV shows! There are a handful of TV shows I follow thru the season and I lovee them!! Right now, im currently watching Gossip Girl, Revenge, Hart of Dixie, Modern Family, and 90210! I watch other shows as well, but these are the ones i keep up with religiously! I cannot stand Jack btw! ughhhh he makes meeh so mad-- maybe because I like Daniel so much better! hahah Lets see what happens this week!

90210- This LA show is so fun, just because it is sooo LA! The fashion on this show is so LA chic and all the characters show the different types of people you find in LA-- from the rich spoiled girls to the normal girls who are trying to make their way in LA. -- And then you have the rich Gay boy! and now theres a cowboy?!?! Yes b/c LA is soo diverse!! I dont know if i Like him or not yet-- maybe b/c his cowboy hat just bothers meeh! thoughts?!?

Hart of Dixie- This is a new show for the season and it is a totall Hick show! haha it is kind of slow but I really like Rachel Bilson and I love that shes a doctor! We ll see how this show turns out!

Modern Family-- I LOVE this show! its hilariouss! My sister got meeh into this show n its really my weekly entertainment :D

Please feel free to share your thoughts!

Business Outlook

Hello all!

So instead of talking about fashion today, I decided to wanna share my thoughts about a business!-- This is where the business side of meeh comes into play! =D But i am going to talk about Forever 21!

Is this store a girls best friend?  Forever21 has grown soooo immensely within the years, they just never seem to amaze meeh.  Some people hate the store (or say they hate it) but come on girls we all know we go into the stores all the time!
So a little history about them,  Forever 21 started off as Fashion21 in the heart of LA.  Its target market was actually older women at first and soon the company decided to change its market and name.  They soon changed their name to Forever21 and opened up more stores in the Los Angeles area.  Now, it has become this mutli billion dollar international business and its just so crazy!

THEY ARE EVERYWHERE! and they have almost everything.  The company is so smart, they have become the one stop shop for every girl.  You name it, they probably have it.  I just saw last week that now they sell candy too?!? They might as well have groceries and girls will go no where else! It is just so crazy to have grown up watching this business grow into what it is now.  And I do commend them for being so smart and really doing all the right things to keep girls coming in.  And I am sure they will continue to grow.. From clothing, to shoes, to accessories, to grooming accessories, to socks, to lingerie, to CANDY-- Forever21 is a one stop shop! Good job F21!

 This is the first store.

Anyone remember when it looked like this?!

 Now...
And this is the Tokyo store!

enjoy!

Tis' the Season to be Jolly!

Hiii my fellow readers, boy oh boy do I miss blogging!-- It is so sad I wish I had more time for my blog :( but with the semester finishing up everything is just piled on meeh right now! BUT yess its the season to be JOLLY! I love love love the Holiday season! It is just so festive and everyone is usually so happy! I love the late mall hours too bc I love night time shopping.  Dont you guys wish there were a 24 hour mall?! i do! hahah

Anyways! Tis the season for Sequins! Have you girls seen all the sequin stuff out there lately.  I personally like it, but some ppl are iffy about it! I guess it just has to do with how you wear it and what it is.  Sometimes Sequins can be going overboard, but they are perfect for all the Holiday parties and Esp for New years! This is the only time you can get away with wearing all this sequins stuff! Also, I loveee alll the velvet or velour! The velvet dresses are just soo classy-- Well it depends on the dress too, but if your going to wear velvet I hope it is classy bc velvet is known to be a classy fabric! =)

Here are some cute pieces!

This is a BCBG Generation Velour dress-- Super cute!

ZARA Sequin Dress-- Just the right amount of Sequins. -- Not too Flashy

Sequin Tights?? UHHH-- i would NOT recommend! Could be too flashy. But hey if you can rock em go for it!

If you wanna go with sequin bottoms- the shorts might be a better option! =) (Express shorts)
